I am committed to affirming life, not only within myself but in my relationships with others.To make the right choices in life, I had to get in touch with my soul. To do this, I had to experience solitude, in which I experienced fear and embraced it because in the silence I heard the truth and found the solutions. I am a quiet speaking woman but my words are heard.

I have a sensitive nature and very compassionate. I have been told I am unlike any other man in many ways. I enjoy my partner and celebrate in her uniqueness and what she brings to the relationship.

I think of myself as a modern Renaissance man: romantic, humanist, well read on variety of subjects(still struggle with philosophy and theology at times), capable of cooking, fixing things around the house, camping, computer savvy, enjoy music & the arts, and is in touch with my masculaine and feminine sides! I accept the fact that some times shedding a tears is okay: it shows compassion and depth of feeling. I also understand the need for steely resolve in some matters!

I am a member of NRA and I do own firearms. I am active in my local gun club and have been a volunteer trainer for the NRA's 'Woman on Target' program (offered locally at Monumental Rifle and Pistol Club). I have currently finished my NRA Certified Instructor courses in pistol/rifle/shotgun. I love to target shoot and still trying to master skeet and trap!

Now I am making time and am looking to see where this all takes me. I will make an attempt not to turn this description of myself in a short story (difficult to describe ones self briefly when there is so much more to ones personality..bare with me) As always, I have many interest and detest boredom. I love to travel when I can. . I enjoy art, music, photography and enjoy trying new things. I believe one can learn from every walk of life no matter the station in life. I love to give and enjoy helping the less fortunate. I believe you get out of life what you put into it. I live for today..tomorrow is not promised to us. (doesn't mean I don't look forward and plan for future...it's just reality) If perfection is what you seek, good luck in finding it. There is no perfect human that I know of and perfection in a individual is a hopeless hunt. What drives and motivates me ..well you would have to get to know me to understand that. But my Mom is my girl. She is part of my life and greatly influences me in that she is a strong woman, even in her illness.

I'm working a full time job and trying to do some work on my house and finish paying it off.I'm a serious person but I do have a sence of humor and like to have fun.People say I look so serious all the time until they get to know me.Then they say I'm real and down to earth.I'm a very good listener and communication is the key to any relationship (friend or otherwise).
