i'm new to portland and am liking how it has so many things to do, for all types of interests. i have a new job that i love and am generally a positive person. i'm pretty outgoing and i enjoy meeting new people. i'm not really into material things, but i would like the person i meet to have a job, a car and a place to live. i love the coast and go at least once a month.i have very little baggage and avoid drama as much as possible. prefer to shop at flea markets and garage sales to the mall-except kitchen gadget stores which i love-oh and all the great food markets they have here.

I am an outgoing and kind person.

I am a Christian man first and foremost. My faith is important and defines much of who I am. I returned to school a few years ago and eared a BS in Psychology and a MA in Marrige and Family Therapy. I worked for almost 9 years in a youth correctional facility and am presently looking for something different. I was born in Hood River Or, and grew up (and had my family) in the far SE side of Portland. I moved to Salem about 31/2 years ago becasue of my job. I like to be romantic...notes, cards, floweres, special lunch or dinner, and other fun stuff. I am kind, caring, gentle, good sense of humor, and just an easy going sort. I do not like to argue and I don't have much of a temper, so fighting with me isn't much fun. I have two grown daughters and 6 grand children (5 boys and 1 girl). I have two sisters and a brother in Milwaukie Or, and we are a close family. I enjoy family and hope to share my family with someone as she shares her family with me. The more the better! I am 52 years old. I have been employed with the same employeer for 30 years. I work full time and am able to support myself. I am not looking for anyone to support me financally. I have a good sense of humor. I like to laugh and have fun. But I can be pretty quiet also.

I am a woman with a wonderful personality, who enjoys enjoying life. I love music, dancing, dining and travel. I am a plus size female who is nicely put together. consider myself very fashionable, I love perfumes and I enjoy pampering myself I quess you could say that I am high maintenence. But, I like to look good for myself and my man. But not snoody or stand offish. I love gardening, fishing, and adventure. I also enjoy sports boxing, basketball, and football.
I might also add that, I mentioned in my profile that I love to cook. even though with my boys are all grown up there's not much need to do so.

Life is too important to take everything so seriously. You never know how things will turn out or who's paths you may cross. And sometimes you have to get hit in the head to realize that life is more than what you do for a living (if it happened to me it could happen to you - LOL). Live, Laugh & Love...

I am happy and secure with myself and my life, although like many of us I am still a work in progress! I love to travel & explore new places, both indoors and out....lol! I enjoy good food & wine, all types of music and I do my best at dancing! I am almost always happy and almost never angry. Life is too short to clutter it up with drama! I have let go of the past and am ready to share my life with one special person. He should be confident, independent and baggage free as well.
